John grew up in Vienna, Virginia, Chiang Mai, Thailand, and Melbourne, Australia. He attended James Madison University (JMU) earning a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree, majoring in Psychology and minoring in Communications. After graduating from college, he worked for two years as a Stockbroker. Then he transitioned to federal service where he spent the next 34 years in the Intelligence Community in an array of assignments both in the United States and overseas. John recently retired from federal service and began applying his learned skills to helping homebuyers and sellers.

John and his wife Michele are two-time Grande Dunes Homeowners. The first time, a condominium at the Marina Inn, serving as a second residence while they resided in Columbia, SC, and currently a single-family home in Siena Park, as their full-time primary residence.

John is married with three adult children; Connor resides with his parents in Myrtle Beach, while daughter Madison resides in Columbia, SC, and son Nick resides in Washington, DC. Additionally, John’s family has three pomskymo dogs, Shelby, Evie, and Cooper.
